History of the MSCLE® System

In 1997 a private high load transport escort service provider to the heavy transport industry was established in South East Queensland Australia, as an alternative service provider to those of the electricity distribution, communication and network owners, ie; the utilities that own the network systems. These network systems often cross the major arterial highways and roads and that, as the asset owners, they were the only authorised body at the time, able to provide and perform such over dimensional - HIGH load escort transport services.

Since that time, it was found that conventional equipment and procedures used in every day reticulation and line works, were wholly unsuited to the nature of the challenges presented in the movement of large and high load transport of goods and equipment along highways and roads from manufacture or harbour dockside, to the point of destination.

Detailed route scoping of infrastructures found that, in nearly all cases, cables and conductors belonging to those service providers and crossing the carriageway, only needed to be lifted a short distance to achieve the required appropriate distance from the load to effect safe underpass of the transport.

Existing resources and equipment utilised in the industry, amounted to a “giant overkill” and in many cases, resulted in a slow and tedious stop start, cumbersome struggle for forward progress that invariably would lead to, often cases of localised or wide spread consumer outages due to cabling or conductors having to be taken down, or major high or low voltage switching procedures being enacted, so that, safe clearances and procedures can be implemented, that allows transport to safely underpass conductors and proceed.

As a consequence, scheduling was a nightmare all round and any “unexpected” delays would create havoc, often resulting in higher costs both electrically and procedures due to, longer transport time thus making preliminary budget forecasts for estimates of costs for transport overall, a “guessing game”.

The MSCLE® System was devised and developed from the challenges presented “at the coalface” by the team that actually do the job. Safety, the real needs of the job, the Utility asset owner requirements, legislative and workplace health and safety mandates, the continuity of supply by the respective supply authorities and the cables and wires that are, the hazard and impediment that presents en route.

Since inception, the MSCLE® System has been used in areas from the great coastal cities and suburbs to the vast and harsh Queensland “outback” of Australia, throughout the largest and longest electricity distribution network “on the planet” and has been employed in the movement of some record breaking high load transports and operational projects in that time.

Lower travel times for transport overall with Utility costs reduced or eliminated, due to supply switching reductions or other works, have been significant, resulting in faster delivery of goods together with, lower transport costs overall. Efficiencies realised and reflected, as a consequence of a more applicable cable control method and principally, the demonstrated effectiveness of the use of the MSCLE® System of operations is a matter of record.

To date, there has been NO report of, or any anecdotal or recorded incident involving the MSCLE® System in transport high load operations.

The MSCLE® System has a proven record and history and is perfect for those that provide electrical, communication or signal cable HIGH load transport escort services.

The MSCLE® System has applications in any overhead cable network, traction (rail / tram), electrical reticulation and communication fibre cable supply systems, or overhead network maintenance operations.

MSCLE® Holdings Pty Ltd is a wholly Australian owned company formed in 2004 as the owner of the Intellectual Property and world wide patents held for the MSCLE® System and accessories.

MSCLE® Holdings Pty Ltd, together with MSCLE® Training Pty Ltd, are both directly linked in the promotion and marketing of the MSCLE® System of operations and provides mandatory industry training programs to meet legislative and industry work place health and safety requirements for operators of the MSCLE® System in the field of electrical reticulation and line work operations.

MSCLE® Holdings Pty Ltd has its office located in Brisbane, Australia and its purpose is to actively promote its product to industry and interested parties both nationally and internationally.
